HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — The body of a federal prosecutor has been found on a Florida beach with possible head trauma.
Hollywood police spokeswoman Miranda Grossman said Thursday that the body of 37-year-old Beranton J. Whisenant Jr. was found early Wednesday by a passerby on the city’s beach. She said detectives are trying to determine if the death was a homicide, suicide or something else.
Whisenant worked for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Miami in its major crimes unit. He had joined the office in January. Court records show he had been handling several visa and passport fraud cases not too mention the DNC voter fraud case in which “volunteers” were caught shredding republican absentee ballots. Coincedentaly, his body was found in Debbie Wassermann Schultz’s district.
Acting U.S. Attorney Benjamin G. Greenberg said in a statement that Whisenant was a “great lawyer and wonderful colleague.” The office declined to comment on the investigation.
The FBI requested direct access to the Democratic National Committee’s (DNC) hacked computer servers but was denied, Director James Comey told lawmakers on Tuesday.
The bureau made “multiple requests at different levels,” according to Comey, but ultimately struck an agreement with the DNC that a “highly respected private company” would get access and share what it found with investigators.
“We’d always prefer to have access hands-on ourselves if that’s possible,” Comey said, noting that he didn’t know why the DNC rebuffed the FBI’s request.
The director was testifying before the Senate Intelligence Committee in a rare open session on Russian interference in the U.S. presidential election.
The DNC and the bureau have been quibbling in news reports over whether the FBI asked to examine its servers directly.
The DNC told BuzzFeed in a statement published last week that the FBI never requested access to its servers after they were breached.
But a senior law enforcement official disputed that characterization the following day.
“The FBI repeatedly stressed to DNC officials the necessity of obtaining direct access to servers and data, only to be rebuffed until well after the initial compromise had been mitigated,” the official said.
“This left the FBI no choice but to rely upon a third party for information. These actions caused significant delays and inhibited the FBI from addressing the intrusion earlier.”
CrowdStrike, the private security firm in question, has published extensive forensic analysis backing up its assessment that the threat groups that infiltrated the DNC were associated with Russian intelligence.

The subject line of the email is “WaPo Party.” Anu Rangappa, a senior DNC adviser, wrote to DNC national fundraiser director Jordan Kaplan on September 22, 2015, “They aren’t going to give us a price per ticket and do not want their party listed in any package we are selling to donors. If we let them know we have donors in town who will be at the debate, we can add them to the list for the party.”
“Great – we were never going to list since the lawyers told us we cannot do it,” Kaplan wrote back.
Given the Post’s tendency to endorse Democrats, holding a fundraiser with the DNC would not be a surprising development. It’s also worth noting that a separate email Miranda wrote that The Washington Post’s Greg Sargent might be willing to “play ball” in “writing up something positive.”

Steve Inskeep (NPR):
“Do you think over the years, Mr. President that there were people who donated to the Foundation thinking that they’re building a relationship wit you, that they’re building a relationship with Hillary Clinton and that you guys might be back in the White House some day?”
“Well, since we had more than 300,000 donors, it would be unusual if nobody did. The names I saw in the paper, none of them surprised me and all of them could have gotten their own meeting with Hillary. When you’ve been doing this kind of work as long as we have, you know the people who are the major players.
And also, some of them who call my staff, people were doing double duty back then, and I had an office of the former president when it was natural for people who had been our political allies and personal friends to call and ask for things. I trusted the State Department wouldn’t do anything they shouldn’t do, from a meeting to a favor.”
Maybe some of them gave money for that reason [to gain political influence], but most of them gave it because they liked what we were doing.”

Russia then stated they had intercepted military communications between ISIS and the US, coordinating where to strike the Syrian troops so they can seize the airport. Russia just held a nuclear response drill in Russia with FORTY MILLION civilians. They also just called for all Russian national citizens to return him immediately from abroad.

Putin grumbled that sides in the United States governmental race were misusing rhetoric about Russia for their own ends, however stated Moscow would deal with whoever won the election “if, naturally, the brand-new U.S. leader wants to deal with our nation”.
” About a years earlier, they would not point out Russia at all, since it was not even worth speaking about, such a third-rate local power and not intriguing at all. Now Russia is issue top in the whole election project,” stated Putin.
” All they do is keep speaking about us. Obviously it’s enjoyable for us, however just partially due to the fact that all individuals are misusing anti-Russian rhetoric and poisoning our bilateral relations.”
On Tuesday, the Russian ambassador to the United States informed an audience in Washington that his nation bears no duty for e-mail leakages impacting the United States governmental race.
Russian president Vladimir Putin says the scandal that has erupted in the United States over allegations Russia hacked Democratic Party emails has not been in Moscow’s interests and that both sides in the U.S. election campaign are just using Russia to score points. That said, Russia curiously calls for its citizens to brace for war. Do they know something we don’t?
